2nd Chance psychiatrists meet with each individual at admission to complete a Psychiatric Evaluation to determine the level of care needed and appropriate course of treatment. Psychotropic medications may be recommended and prescribed, with ongoing Medication Management sessions.
Our Outpatient Program (OP) is provided Monday through Friday, typically one hour per session and one time per week, at a day and time convenient to the individual. OP sessions are provided individually, and some topics of discussion could include symptom management, relapse prevention, coping skills, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and developing support systems.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is provided Monday through Friday, three hours per day, at least nine hours per week. IOP is provided in a group format and some topics of discussion could include symptom management, relapse prevention, coping skills, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and developing support systems.
Treatment modalities used are evidence-based and depend on your treatment needs. Modalities may include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducational group counseling, relapse prevention education, process groups, and role play or behavior modeling exercises.
